1. What’s is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It is a process to follow search engines’ guidelines for optimizing websites and web pages.

2. What’s a Search Engine?

A search engine is a website which people use to search for information and asking questions. Search engines crawl and index pages. Search engines then rank the pages to give the best possible answer to the users.

3. What is a Crawler?

Crawler is a web bot or software which looks for new pages and links on the web and index them in search engines’ databases. Crawler is also called Spider and search engine bot.

4. What is Organic Traffic?

Organic traffic is the unpaid traffic coming from search engines using different keywords. Traffic which is paid for is not organic.

5. What is SERPs?

Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS) are the pages which are displayed to the users when they search for a query on Google or other search engines.

6. What is Keyword in SEO?

Keyword is a search term or phrase which people use to search on Google and other search engines. If the key phrase is 4 to 5 words long then it is also called long-tail keyword.

7. What is On-Page SEO?

On-Page SEO is related to the pages within a particular website. On-Page SEO is all about internal link structure, content and technical aspects of a website.

Inbound links or backlinks is the method for getting links from other websites on the internet for ranking better in Google search.

Meta title is the main key phrase for a web page. Meta title tells about what is the page all about. Title is very important for SEO.

LSI = Latent semantic Indexing is the process Google uses to find relevant keywords and key phrases to the main keyword in order to rank web pages.

15. What is Off-Page SEO?

Off-Page SEO simply means actions which you take outside your website for the purpose of improving your website’s ranking in Google. Backlinking is one of the important parts of off-page seo.

16. What is a Backlink?

A backlink is simply an external link pointing back to your website. If some website adds a link of your site into theirs, that’s is called a backlink.

17. What is a Do-Follow Link?

A do-follow link is simply a hyperlink which pass juice to another page. If there is no rel=”nofollow” attribute added to a link, that’s dofollow by default and will pass link juice to the page which is linked.

18. What is a No-Follow Link?

A no-follow link is a link which search engines do not follow for indexing. This is done by webmasters who do not want to pass link juice to a particular page.

19. Difference between nofollow and dofollow links?

The main difference is that Google will follow links and index them when they do not have a no-follow attribute added to them. If it is no-folllow then Google will simply ignore it.

20. What is outbound link?

Outbound link is a link which is pointing to a page on the web from our website. For example, my website is abc.com and if I give a link to xyz.com then that’s outbound link for me and inbound link for xyz.com.

21. What is anchor text?

Anchor text is the clickable text in a hyperlink. Best SEO practices indicate using anchor text which is relevant to the website and keyword.
