In my last video series, we discussed about “Applying for Adsense Account in Urdu“. But there is one more great platform for content creators called “BuySellAds” which is not designed as Adsense, but it’s more powerful than Adsense in terms of everything. Adsense is a PPC (Pay Per Click) ad network which pays publishers when the ads are clicked by the visitors, while BuySellAds (BSA) is much different than Adsense. BSA is a direct banners ad network which will allow you to insert blank Ad spots inside your blog/site and whenever an advertiser will be interested to display an ad over your site, he/she will directly contact BSA to show their interest in your site, and after that you’ll accept the ad. The ads are displayed on your site for a minimum period of 30 days regardless any clicks or impressions. So here you have an advantage that you’ll get a sponsor for the whole month, and the payment will be confirmed.

BSA works as a Gateway between the publisher & the advertiser, You’re a publisher who has a website & content to monetize, and an advertiser is looking for a website to offer their advert, so BSA will find advertisers for you and you’ll be paid on monthly basis. However, BSA takes some of the service charges from your earning, but don’t worry, its very low and less than Google Adsense.

How Much can you earn from BuySellAds?

There is no exact figure for earning with BSA, but it all depends on the traffic you have on your website. And more importantly, if your site is approved by BSA, because BSA doesn’t easily accept new websites. So you have to work hard to be approved by BuySellAds.com. Criteria for getting an Approval from BSA?

You can create your account at BSA without any requirements, but for inserting BSA ads, you must have at least one website approved by them. So for approving your site, you’ll first have to submit that for review. Your website must meet their minimum criteria in order to be easily approved by them. And here is the simplest criteria before applying for BSA:

• Your site must receive 30,000 or above monthly impressions
• Your site must be in English
• Your site must have a professional looking design (Very important)
• Your site must have at least 50 or above posts/articles
• Your site must be at least 4 months old (For new site approval)
• No hacking, no cracking, no pornography, no adult content, no plagiarism

The above mentioned points are must before you submit your website for a review. However, you must read their criteria listed on their own website before applying.

How to Apply for Google Adsense [Video in Urdu]

I’m asked thousands of times to answer for a repeated question “How to make an Adsense account in Pakistan?“, this becomes sometimes a headache for me to answer everybody  for this question, because repeatedly asked things make me mad and that’s why I call myself “Pareshan”. everything is simply written and guided by Adsense team themselves on different help pages. However, majority of people don’t waste a little bit time to read Google’s own introduction and overview to their particular product such as Adsense etc. Recently, while I was making a complete DVD course in Urdu called “4 Consistent Ways to Make Money online in Urdu”, Adsense was also the part of the series, therefore, I separated some of the videos to be shared for free on this blog. And here I’m with that tutorial on how to apply for an Adsense account when you are living in Pakistan with a video tutorials series in Urdu, which is however very simple thing to do, but as people request me everyday, so I can now redirect them to this post :).

Adsense is considered the KING among all other PPC ad networks, but one thing must be made sure that this is not a making money machine, this is an advertising program run by Google which was actually designed and developed to help website owners monetize their quality websites or web pages. Remember, this is not and was never developed for crappy or garbage kind of content. Let me explain you further.

How does Adsense work?

Adsense is the front side of Google’s “Adwords” Program, in Google Adwords, Google receives Adverts from the advertisers who Pay to Google for displaying their ads on different websites focusing their “Keywords” and by Geographical locations. So then Google displays the ads via their another program for Publishers called “Adsense“. Google will display ads upon the keywords were searched over their search engine. In other words, Adsense will show the best relevant ads on the publisher’s website if there is enough original “Content” with specified keywords.

So how come you claim, that you’ll get an Adsense account without a website having original and keyword based content? you’ll only get an Adsense account if you have enough original content over your website. Which must be of course, created by You.

People like you and me, who use Google Adwords for advertising campaigns, are paying Google because they want results back for their business, they do not waste their money (They are much wiser than me and you), so have you ever thought that your site is that good which can help the advertisers find their customers? if that is not the case then kindly consider your own pocket for spending money using Adwords and not getting the results back.

How will Adsense approve your application?

If you are located in Pakistan and you want to create an Adsense account from here. You are most welcomed by Google, but please keep in mind that Adsense has a clear and transparent policy for its all publishers, which is a little bit more strict for Pakistani publishers. So if you are really serious to work with Adsense for a long time period then have these steps done before applying for an Adsense account:

• Create a website with a top level domain name i.e .com or .net etc (blogspot will not work easily)
• Have at least 40 articles (Original) published in it
• Work at least 3 months consistently to make it useful for the users (Looking for information)
• Make your site design very simple and professional which also loads fast
• Try to work more on SEO side and drive traffic from search engines (100 to 200 Per day)
• Never go negative, always think positive (Google is much smarter than you)
• After 3 months, go for Adsense if you are meeting the above criteria

How to create a video sharing website like YouTube?

I few months ago started a video sharing website now may be accessed at “Tuts2Learn.com”, which has been of course one of the hedaches for me to do :). However, I managed all the things and kicked it up within few days since I thought the idea of creating such website. Since, I started T2L, many people requested me to share the steps I took while creating that website or I should make a video tutorial on it. But to be really honest, I didn’t get time to make video tutorials on it, but I just thought I should share the steps with you which are must in order to create a video sharing website same like YouTube, where users will be able to create an account and upload media files such as Videos, images and etc. While, all video sharing sites have social networking features as well, because users need to send messages to one another and can make discussions with the video producers, so this is actually called Social media network as well as video sharing platform.

I must remind you one thing that, if you want to create such website by yourself then you must be a higher level web developer who knows how to code in PHP with its advance level programming and OOP. And a single developer can not  do it alone, there must be a team of developers to create such websites/scripts, because there are many parts in a script to be coded in PHP. However, average developers always try to find already existing scripts to create such websites. There are some well-known scripts which are used to create video sharing websites which look like YouTube, dailymotion and metacafe etc. Here we’ll discuss everything you need to know in order to create a VS website.

What are the requirements to create a Video sharing website?

Now lets have a look at the steps and requirements you need to create a video sharing website having social media networking features and a lot more. Please keep in mind that, video sharing sites are not normal sites, they are created by using some advanced technologies, and unlike other sites, they need more bandwidth, more desk space, more plugins and utilities to be installed before a video is rendered or uploaded. So make sure your concept is cleared before starting this kind of thing.

Requirement # 1: 

The first and initial thing for video sharing website is “Web Hosting“, you can’t start your VS site with normal shared web hosting, you’ll have to buy a VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting for your video sharing site. This is necessary, because the shared hosting can’t handle all the tasks at once such as uploading videos, encoding those videos in the background, Multiple uploads at once, playing the videos in the player to many users at once and there are many more tasks the server does at the same time. So the normal shared web hosting will get down automatically when it fails to manage the operations going on at different sides of the whole content management system. So finally, this is very necessary to buy a VPS or dedicated server for your video site which can handle of all the operations easily without going the server down for every single day.

Requirement # 2: 

The second thing to start a VS site is to have the appropriate script for it, there are many built-in scripts for video sharing websites which you can install over your server to create a YouTube clone website or you can create even a unique one with your own IDEA. In all cases, you must have a video sharing script to start the website with. There are PAID scripts as well as free scripts, but I’ll recommend you to use Paid Scripts, because they can provide you support and help if you need it later. The list of the free and paid scripts will be shared in this post later.

Requirement # 3: 

The third requirement for creating a VS site is; Your hosting server must have some additional features which are must for video sharing script, because the video sharing script actually doesn’t work if some of the plugins are not installed and some of the PHP configurations are not set up. The list of the plugins (Must be installed to run your VS site properly) are these but not limited to i.e ( I used these one actually):

• FFMPEG – Used to convert videos from different format to FLV when they are uploaded
• PHP CLI – Used to convert the videos in background which doesn’t affect the site
• FLVTool2 – Used to repair FLV videos for better streaming in the media player
• MP4Box – Used to convert MP4 videos for better streaming in the media Player

These are some PHP configurations in the server you must make in order for the video script to work properly:

• safe_mode = off
• max_execution_time = 1000 (recommended to prevent timeouts during video upload/conversion)
• session.gc_maxlifetime = 14000 (recommended to prevent session expires during video upload)
• open_basedir = (no value)
• output_buffering = on
• upload_max_filesize = 500M (recommended maximum video upload size in MB)
• post_max_size = 500M (recommended maximum video upload size in MB)

So after you make the above configurations in your server (usually Cpanel) then the video script will properly work and the videos will be uploaded by the users and will be played by others.

After the above explanation, now we can make a summary for what we actually need to start a video sharing website very easily and quickly if we want, here is everything together you need to have before starting the website:

• Web Hosting (Must be VPS = Virtual Private Server) 
• Video Sharing script (Must be installed after you purchase VPS) 
• Install Necessary Plugins (FFMPEG, PHP CLI, FLVTool2, MP4Box etc) 
• PHP Configuration in the Server (As Mentioned above) 

Some web hosting companies provide you built-in setting for starting a video sharing website, after getting the web hosting you’ll just have to install the video sharing script and the website will be working instantly. But these companies are rare.

• BlueHost.com (For both)
• VideoBam.com (Particular for Video sharing hosting)

You can choose any of the above web hosting providers for starting up your own YouTube clone website within few days. The first two companies are recommended by me for Video sharing websites.

The List of the Free & Paid Video sharing scripts:

Now after you bought a web hosting, you’ll need to have a Video Sharing script ready to start your website, There are many scripts available online on the web for starting a VS site, but some of them are paid, while few others are free to use. Here is the list of some:

• Clip-bucket.com & .net (The most used free VS Script)
• PhpMotion.com (The second most used free VS Script)
• Clip-share.com (A paid script but great script)

There are many other free scripts out there in the market, but I’d only recommend you to use the above three ones, because the rest scripts have a lot of bugs and errors which can not be resolved by an average developer easily.

How I created Tuts2Learn.com?

First of all I thought to create a video sharing website for Pakistani users, due to YouTube was blocked in Pakistan by the Government (Which is still blocked), and after seven days of the idea, I implemented it in the shape of (Tuts2learn.com). I just searched on the internet to find the script, but finally I came to know about a website called (controlweb.com) which is actually owned by (Clip-bucket.com) and CB is owned by (Tune.PK), so I just purchased the web hosting (VPS) from them and they installed everything for me. That’s how, I easily created this website. However, later on, I changed some of the files according to my requirements and I got a Dashboard for managing the website after the installation had been completed. I’m using (Tune.PK) script on this website which is freely available at (clip-bucket.com).

My First Interview Taken in Lahore – You can Learn Something from it

During my recent nationwide tour to Pakistan, I was requested by Hamza Khursheed and Hamiz Khan from RealIncomeAcademy.com in Lahore for taking an interview of my blogging journey and life story  it was more than an honor to have this chance at this age, I accepted the offer with open heart and with a smiling face, along with this interview the guys (Hamza & Hamiz) also arranged a meetup and a question/answer session At Dabistan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg, Lahore. I reached there on time and we had a great time together, during the interview Hamza Khursheed asked very informative questions and I tried to answer the questions in my humble and simple Urdu.
