On-Page SEO – Keyword Density-Prominence & Proximity (Urdu/Hindi)

This article & video tutorial in Urdu belongs to the same series which we started a few days ago on Search Engine Optimization in Urdu. Today, we’ll be learning about Keyword Density, Keyword Prominence & Keyword Proximity. Along with these three On-Page SEO elements, we’ll also learn the rest of the on-page SEO for an article or a single page which we try to optimize before publishing it on our website. Today’s tutorial gives you a very deep insight about on-Page SEO and the above mentioned three important SEO components for 2014. All you have to do is to follow this series till the end, and you’ll learn the important points to note before either doing SEO of your website or applying somewhere for an SEO job. Let’s get started. 

What’s Keyword Density – Prominence & Proximity?

These all three SEO components are straight belonging to On-Page optimization, we should always take care of these three while optimizing & placing keywords in our articles. To be more clearer on the above terms, let’s know about them below.

Keyword Density = The number of keywords you use in an article is called “Keyword Density”, the maximum keyword density you can put in an article is almost 3%, while if you keep your Keyword Density upto 2% that would be more better for you and things will be balanced. Example :- if you have an article of 500 words, and your keyword is “SEO tips” then you can use “SEO Tips” 15 times in the entire article (maximum) but using it 10 times is more better.

Keyword Prominence = The placements of the keywords in an article is called “Keyword Prominence”, There are many places you can show your keywords on the page so that search engines can discover them easily. Mostly the keyword is being shown in difference places of the page; for example the title of the page, URL of the page, Meta description of the page, Keyword in the starting of the article, Keyword in headings i.e H1, H2 and you can also show your keyword in an Image using ALT attribute. So the more earlier you show up your keyword, the more it will be better for you in terms of “Keyword Prominence”. However, make it balanced, and don’t do keyword stuffing which can destroy your blog/website within days.

Keyword Proximity = The distance between the exact words in a keyword is called “Keyword Proximity”, for example if a person searches for “How to create quality backlinks in 2014″ and Google shows him this result “Quality Backlinks & how to create them?”, so in this scenario the exact keyword is “Create Quality Backlinks“, while in Google’s result there is a distance between the words “Quality Backlinks” And the word “Create“, so this is basically called “Keyword Proximity“, the more closer the exact words are, the more it will be considered as high “Keyword Proximity” which is good and better. If all of the words are exactly next to each other that would mean 100% perfect Keyword Proximity, however, if one word is away from the others that would make it 80% perfect. And if there are three words as in the above example and all are far from one another then it would mean there is less than 50% keyword proximity, which is not good at all from search engine’s point of view.

How to do In-depth Keyword Research (Urdu-Hindi)

Keyword Research is very important for knowing the nature & upcoming results of a keyword. We can use several tools for this purpose, and we can also logically decide which Keyword is better for our business or website. In the new SEO training series in Urdu, I’ve previously shared the introduction video with you, and now this is the second part of the same series, in which we’ll be learning Keyword research again. So the more you know, the more it’s better for you. The keyword you are going to optimize your website/article for is something you must know each and everything about, because without doing a proper work, you can’t hope to be ranked well in the SERP (Search Engine Result Pages). The important five factors of your keyword may be something like the nature of the keyword, the geographical location of the keyword, the estimated monthly searches for the keyword, the competition for the keyword and lastly the price or PPC (Pay Per Click) rate for that Keyword. And we are gonna discuss all these factors in this article as well as in the video tutorial you’ll be watching in Urdu on this page.

SEO Keyword Research Tools ( Urdu)

For a comprehensive keyword research we always use some handy tools available for free, and the major one among them is called “Google Keyword Planner“, this tool is basically for Adword advertisers who use Google Ads to promote their products over the internet. However, as an SEO optimizer, we can take advantages of it for free, and we’ll be using several tools including (Keyword Planner) during this tutorial for researching about our main keywords. Here are the list of the tools we’ll be gonna use in this tutorial:

1. Google Trends (For Graph of the Keyword & geographical location)
2. Google Keyword Planner (For Monthly Searches, Competition & cost of the keyword)
3. Soolve.com (For Keyword Suggestions)
4. Ubersuggest.org (For Keyword ideas)

How to Reduce Spam Comments in WordPress

In the starting of this blog on WordPress, I never had any difficulty with “Spam Comments”, I used to receive upto 5 to 10 spam comments daily which is usual for WordPress users. But suddenly, few days back, I received 100+ spam comments every single day, it was full of headache to delete these comments upon login to WP Dashboard all the time. The “Aksimet” and some other plugins keep the spam comments in a separate folder, but the problem is; you have to delete them , because you don’t want the mess inside your dashboard. When I got tired of it, I started searching for solution, and also I tried to use every trick I knew regarding it. What I did so far and  how I reduced the spam comments upto 60% in a week, I’ll be sharing my experience with you in this post.

Before starting this post, I’ll give you a brief how-to-do steps to make the default settings inside your WordPress dashboard, so you can automatically reduce the spam comments in the starting of your blog, however, if you didn’t care, you might receive tons of spam comments from the first day.

How to Reduce Spam comments in WordPress

Here are few changes you can make in your WP dashboard after installing “WordPress“, this will actually solve half of the problem and for the rest, I’ll be sharing my previous few days struggles to get rid of this shit

Plugins to Install for Detecting Spam Comments

#1. Please install “Akimset” Plugin for detecting spam comments, this plugin is actually installed by default with your WP installation, you just need to activate it and get the “Key” from its website for “Free“. It actually detects all the spam comments and put them in the “Spam folder”, you can delete them anytime you want.

 #2. Install “Growmap Anti Spambot Plugin” which will add a “Confirm” Box at the end of your comment form, so if a comment is being posted by human that will only be possible by clicking the “Confirm” box, so it will not allow any “Software” or “Bot” to insert comments automatically. You can see the example of it in our comment form on this blog.

Make changes to the default WordPress Discussion

After installing above two plugins, now go to WordPress Dashboard >> Setting >> Discussion, you’ll find a page like below one, just make sure you keep the setting as strict as possible, because through spam or malware comments, people can destroy your blog within minutes and I’ve experienced it many times.

You can keep the same setting as showing in the above picture, but I’ll recommend you to “Automatically close comments on articles older than 180 days”, because the older articles get more spam comments than the newest ones. You can manually disable comments on the older articles by just clicking “Quick Edit” option in the posts list and disable the comments on a particular post. That’s also a good way to get rid of some spam comments, see the picture below for this:

So this is what you need to actually do for reducing spam comments, which I myself did in the starting of this blog. However, you need to take some more actions, in order to get rid of all spam comments.

To remove the URL field from comment form

Now here is the magic that I used to reduce upto %30 spam comments in a single day, spammers mostly try to post comments for the sake of a backlink, which they usually insert in the “URL or Website” field in the comment form, you can see it here:

So as you can clearly see the visible “Website” field that is mostly used by spammers to create backlinks, and they put their website URL in the “website” field, what you can do to reduce the spam comments dramatically is to remove this field manually from the comment form.

To do this, just follow below steps: 

Copy this piece of PHP code and paste it inside “functions.php” file which you can find by going to Appearance >> Editor in your WordPress dashboard, just copy and paste the below code inside functions.php before the closing ?> PHP tag:

add_filter(‘comment_form_default_fields’, ‘url_filtered’);
function url_filtered($fields)
{
if(isset($fields[‘url’]))
unset($fields[‘url’]);
return $fields;
}

The above PHP script works on all premium & free WordPress themes, it basically add a filter which removes the “URL” field from the comment form. So by doing this, you’ll reduce the spam comments upto 30% to 40%.

I’ve reduced the spam comments upto 60%, and you can do the same if you apply above tricks mentioned in this post. However, I’m sure, I’ll get rid of all spam comments very soon. I’ll be updating this post regularly with new tricks I implement.

And this is how you can survive with your blog for a long time if you have been approved by Media.Net, regardless, you have Adsense account or not.

If you have a blog/website which is receiving at least 10% out of the total traffic from USA, Canada etc then you must join this network, because it will give you more revenue than Adsense could. However, your website/blog must provide valuable content which is useful for the community in general.

Last but not the least, generating revenue from your blog/site always depends on the content you have and the type of traffic you receive for them, and most importantly the traffic which is coming from search engines. If you have good content on your site and receiving a decent amount of traffic then every Ad network or revenue generating program is yours, companies themselves will contact you for monetizing your content with them, but once you are established, you are good to go.

Something About “OnlineUstaad.com” & Yourself!

Before starting this story, I’ll go back to 2009 when I for the first time came to know about “Making Money Online“, “Blogging”, “SEO” and these kind of terms, As a newbie, I was looking for knowledge in Urdu and was searching every single day to find something that could guide me a little bit to understand clearly about what does “SEO” exactly means, How can some one “Make Money Online” and how to start blogging etc, even I didn’t know what’s HTML, CSS and WordPress. PHP was a far thing from my little brain as I was not even educated. However, I found a little bit information at that time available on the internet such as an article in Urdu about Google Adsense which I read more than 200 times   and a little bit knowledge from the Urdu forums such as “Itdunya.com”. But that was not enough for me to start something exclusively. 

After getting tired, I decided that one day I’ll create a video tutorials based website for all Urdu users who will get benefit from it at the first stages, and at the same time I started improving my English to learn SEO, Make Money, Blogging, PHP, HTML and similar other technologies from teachers, institutes and from internet itself. And when I did these all things within around 2 years, I took the step in December 2011 and started “www.OnlineUstaad.com”, which was a revolution for Urdu tutorials on IT. After that I continually contributed to the community freely and still I’m doing that because this is something that have changed the lives of so many people across Pakistan, India and several other countries where Urdu & Hindi speakers exist.
